We had a great time!

Nice quiet location near the ocean. Good beach access. 84 concrete steps to the beach. House was in good shape. The ocean view is a little limited. The house was quite adequate for 4 couples with each room having at least a toilet and sink. We stayed the 3 days on the property playing games and walking. We would consider staying here again.

Our family of 10 stayed in the home and found it to be just the right size with plenty of room, a well stocked kitchen, and located in a lovely quiet neighborhood.

What a totally delightful space for a group of singers! The acoustics in the dining room and the living room / kitchen are excellent. We filled the days with lots of wonderful music. This very tidy, spacious home met our needs beautifully. We even had places for some hand craft projects.
It was such fun for our "mature" group to play ping-pong, and the hot tub soaks were so relaxing. Many of us took walks down the nearby staircase to Seaside Beach where we explored picturesque Whale Rock and other interesting ocean features.
Communication with our hosts before, during, and after our stay was genuinely kind and most helpful.
We had a few minor issues with appliances, but it didn't damper the spirit of a most enjoyable stay. We are filled with gratitude for the privilege of experiencing this lovely place on our California coast.

We stayed at Serendipity for three days in October. Our daughter was getting married nearby and we wanted a place that would hold the whole family. We loved the house and the location. The grandkids played for hours in the game room and many of us enjoyed the hot tub. Beach access is across the street and down many stairs. Once you make it down the beach is beautiful and private. If you walk one way you find a huge river the other way is Sand Dollar beach. It was a wonderful weekend!

Our stay was wonderful. When there was a minor hot tub issue was taken care of quickly by helpful, friendly staff. How everything works was clearly written for us. Perfect view with a beach. Our family loved it.

This was our 2nd time staying at this property and our expectation were exceeded once again. The property was exactly as described and you can't beat the location. We spent 5 days enjoying the beach with our young adult children. With so many games, etc., we didn't have a dull moment. It was the perfect mix of family, relaxation and fun!

We have an annual trip to Fort Bragg, with our extended families renting houses, as well. All homes were walking distances to each other. The layout was great and couch allowed for easy socializing. Our only complaint is that better internet service would allow some of our members ( who had to work ) avoid going to another location.

This is such a lovely house! Great family home! This was our second year (not in a row) staying at this home. The first year therre were a few issues. It is always gratifying when owners respond to renters feedback and do their best to correct problems and they have!
Personally, I hate the glass cooktop but it is what it is. The kitchen has a LOT of stuff but if something is essential to a recipe, bring your own
pan, sharp knife, etc. New couch since we were here last. Beautiful and comfortable!! Snuggly mattresses! The shower in the first bdrm south of the kitchen needs a new shower head! Needs to be hand-held. The location is ideal and private feeling. Across the street from a great beach. The kids loved it! I would stay here again!!

Serendipity was just right for us. We were 6 adults staying for 3 days for my daughter’s wedding in Ft Bragg. Comfy, well stocked in kitchen, big rooms. Perfect. The bride even came over to get ready on her wedding day!

Beautiful house with stunning ocean views! The property was just as pictured with lots of room for our family of 10 adults and 3 toddlers. Great game room for the big kids and lovely outdoor spaces for the adults. The hosts were very helpful and quick to respond at check in to a problem with the key. Highly recommend this property!

Everything was perfect!!
Our stay included three other couples and there was plenty of room for everyone. The location was just far enough from town to avoid any crowds. The guys fished during the day and the gals shopped in town.
We had dinner each evening at the huge dinning room table and played games into the wee hours.

I got this for my adult children and their families as a Christmas gift. I was pleasantly surprised that the house was so inviting and family friendly. The house was located on a quiet street with beach access across the street and a nice ocean view. There was a hot tub, ping pong table, and foosball. The house had two master suites with additional sleeping arrangements for kids. My kids (6 adults and 2 kids, with room for us too, if we stayed) had a great time and would come again! Great house for family fun!

House has the best equipped kitchen I have seen. Lots of room to spread out. We lost water and the response was good, got the problem fixed within a fairly short amount of time, especially on a Sunday.
Would stay there again.
Disappointing was that the hot tub couldn't be used due to a water leak, the jacuzzi tub in the bathroom was broken, as was the telescope. And lighting in one of the bathrooms was not working. So maintenance needs to be bumped up. But overall, it was a nice stay.

We annually plan a trip to Ft Bragg and have stayed in a different location each time. Serendipity satisfied every need we had in terms of accommodations and location. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and the house was very comfortable. The beach was easily accessible and while we were not in town, the short drive was not an issue the times we did want to go into town, such at the festival of lights at the botanical gardens and the movie theater. The one issue we had we promptly handled by the property management team. Thank you.

We had our family gathering at Serendipity and loved it! The kitchen was fully stocked, the tile floors and bedding clean and fresh!! It held our group of 13 easily. The game room in the garage was a hit with the grandkids. And for all of us, just walking across the street and down the stairs to the beach could not have been better. The only setback was being charged for a floor lamp we did not break and not hearing back from anyone about it.

Our stay was marvelous! The house was perfect for the kids and adults, close to the beach where we made a few trips to the beach Dailey with grandkids. Outdoor shower great for washing sand off before going into house. The kids found sand dollars on the beach at low tide. Want to go back!!

Serendipity is a great house. It was very well stocked, clean, and well maintained. The beach is just a short walk. Our family enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

The Serendipity property was in a nice neighborhood and perfect for our family reunion. Everyone from age 7 to 91 had a great time. The game room was a terrific bonus! There were 14 of us and we never felt crowded. The house was clean and welcoming. They even had fresh flowers! We cooked most our meals in the well equipped kitchen. Everything you could possibly need was stocked and all the appliances were clean and functional. Our impression was that we had an ocean front property with breathtaking views. Especially because we were asked to sign a document stating that we would be careful about the bluff near the property that could crumble if we got near the edge. As it turned out we were across the street from houses and a gate that had access to the path to the beach and if you looked across the street and to the left, between two houses, you could see some beach and ocean. Nice but not ocean front. In light of that we would still consider staying here again.

Our family of 14 have stayed at Serendipity each summer for 7 years (not the COVID year) we have really enjoyed the house, the beach and all Ft. Bragg has to offer!

Communication and expectaions were very clear, payment scheduling was spot on. The home was exactly as described with no issues to report. Our group had an excellent time.

Great location (minutes north of ft Bragg, ocean view, short walk to fun beach), large rooms (four families with kids very spacious), clean house, hot tub, well stocked, comfy beds (no one complained- and we’ve had surgeries), quick responses from management. We had a fabulous stay! Would highly recommend.

Serendipity was the perfect house for our stay with 8 adults and 4 kids aged 4-6. The house was as advertised and more. Floor plan was just right for family time in the open area adjoining the kitchen. Bedrooms had close access to adjacent bathrooms and the garage was converted to a game room. The best feature was the the private beach accessed just across the street. The kids couldn’t get enough beach time. Ft Bragg was a short 10 minute drive to the south and Pacific Star Winery was 2 miles to the north...spectacular coastline back drop.
Our 3 day trip ended way too soon so WE WILL BE BACK!

The way the house is setup is great. Even with a lot of people you can spread out and have your own space. The beach access is little tough for folks that have problems with stairs (84 total), but worth the walk... beautiful beach!

Special Spot on the Mendocino Coast near the Ten Mile Estuary with a convenient access to the Beach. The Beach Access stairs can be challenging although entrance to Seaside Beach is a short Drive away. The home has a layout that accommodates your own personal space which includes individual bathrooms with a relaxing common area adjacent to the Kitchen. Both the Hot Tub and Deck along with the Recreation Garage provided ample space for folks to spread out. The property is off the Highway on an ample lot so road noise was not apparent with the neighborhood very quiet which was perfect for afternoon naps. This Home is a perfect gathering place for families.

We loved this house and overall experience with Mendocino Vacation Rentals. It is a great house for relaxing and enjoying the beach with private access to an amazing beach. The house was spacious and clean.

An Amazing Home! Eight of us gathered to provide moral (& immoral) support for my 60th Birthday!So many amenities, features and entertainment opportunities. We love Fort Bragg and has been coming here the past two years. It’s now our annual family trip. We had a wonderful stay and we just love the serendipity and what the house has to offer: hot tub, breathtaking view, beach access, and all the roomS accommodations. Thank you! This is a beautiful, well maintained home. Even with all the pre-teen kids and adults, we all felt we could spread out and had plenty of room for the adults to have their space and kids theirs. The hot tub was great!! The views from the front deck were fabulous!! We can't wait to plan another trip to Serendipity!

We had 8 family members stay at a very comfortable home overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The house was very comfortable with all the amenities that are needed. Towels and bed linens were top rate. Beautiful kitchen with sitting room overlooking the Pacific. Highly recommend the house. We want to stay again.

Overall it was lovely. There was some confusion about the location of the path to the beach so we never went. Also, it would have been helpful if the binders with instructions were in a more obvious location - we didn't see them until the morning we were leaving! Lol in a dark basket on high shelf! Kitchen counter or by the phone would have caught our eye. Very grateful owners installed generator. Thank you.

Our family was invited to a wedding and this house was perfect for a large group. I had my mom, brother and grown kids with my husband and I. The house had everything you needed, comfortable beds, very clean and plenty of space. Great location, beautiful coast to walk along, not too far from town. Good restaurants in town and we did cook a lot of our meals right there. Definitely we will be back!

Thank you so much for making this trip so great. We all came together to celebrate my Mother’s life. The house was beautiful, and so warm and comfortable. The private beach was awesome. My grandsons first time to see the ocean, he had such a great time. The deck hot tub and cottage were so enjoyable. Kitchen had everything we needed and more. I would recommend this house for any family gathering and I plan on returning with my family for more memories. This was an awesome trip!!

This is our second time staying at Serendipity for a family get together. This beach home will likely be a yearly event for our family. We couldn't have been happier. We were celebrating two of my grandchildren's high school graduations and it was a chance for the cousins to get together one more time before my grandson went into the Marines on June 16th. There was a sign in the window congratulating them and we felt that the rental agency really tried to put personal touches for us in the rental. The location is great- right across the street from Ten Mile Beach. I would put in a word of caution that there are riptides and dangerous currents in the ocean all along this part of California, so use every caution. We almost had some things swept away.
The home was clean and well supplied. There are lots of things to do in the home and surrounding area. We didn't go anywhere, just played games, including the table tennis supplied, hot tub, and enjoyed the beach. There were spectacular sunsets on the beach both nights we were there. It was just what we wanted for an after graduation celebration.

The house was beautiful and perfect for our family gathering. The location was right on the beach, with gorgeous views. I'd highly recommend this house.

Have stayed here 5 yrs at Easter week/10 of us(young&old. It is perfect for us.Besides the size the stairs to the beach are the main thing-no driving. Could not use the stairs as usual due to repair-were not notified until 3 days before arrival.Would not rent this far north were it not for the staircase to the beach. Sent a letter of my disappointment to Mendo Preferred- have not acknowledged my letter.

The house was immaculate and clean. We love this house because there are stairs going to a private beach but they were unfortunately damaged from rain and unusable. One of the mattresses needs to be replaced as it has a dip in the middle (back room w/ slider door). The house is well equipped and comfortable. It took a while to figure out the tv too! The remote doesn't seem to reach from the couch but once we figured that out we were good to go.

perfect for our family gathering.

This home is absolutely beautiful. We loved staying in Fort Bragg in October. It was warmer at night in October than it is in the summer time. The house has private access down to the beach. Home is absolutely beautiful. Everything is as it appears in the pictures provided.

Wow, what a great place. We did not want to leave. Looking forward to staying again!

We had four families and this house had more than enough room. With four bathrooms and a guest house, our kids and adults could spread out. Steps to the beach, big lawn and a hot tub- couldnt ask for more. Some from our group did a horseback ride just down the road- awesome. We so enjoyed the trip and hope to return.

We had a wonderful time celebrating our friends' 60th anniversary in this comfortable and accommodating space! Easy access to the ocean, quiet and even had a few hours each day of great weather!

This was our 6th stay at Serendipity and number 7 is already booked. We love coming here for many reasons, Of course the ocean and 6 days of sun in February, what more could you ask for. Well the house is perfect also and we noticed a lot of recent upgrades. Thank you! Mendocino preferred was very helpful when we needed them. See you soon.

This is the third time we have used this awesome home for our churchs ladies retreat. I love how close it is to the beach we were blessed with beautiful weather this last time! The kitchen is very nice and had everything we needed. The beds are all very comfy. This house is very spacious and had everything we needed to make our stay extra enjoyable.

The house was beautiful and large enough to fit our whole family. The photos truly dont do the house justice. The house is right across the street from my favorite beach (seaside creek beach) and the house is located in a great neighborhood. Just know the steps down to the beach are quite steep and the railing is what looks like a garden hose, not the sturdiest. The house itself was more than occomdating and it is beautifully furnished. We all had trouble working the stove and microwave, but eventually we figured it out. Overall our stay was wonderful and we look forward to staying here again.

We had our family reunion Christmas celebration here!! Everyone enjoyed the property!!! The house was very clean and everything as it was described. We were close to the beach, which was a big hit!!! We will definitely plan another stay there!!!!

Fantastic!! We had an outstanding Christmas vacation at Serendipity. The house was great for our large crew and the location was perfect. One of the highlights of the location was the quick walk down to a great beach that we all could enjoy. We were also able to enjoy whale watching, a day trip to the red woods, deep sea fishing, glass beach and many of the other great beach access areas. If we have another large crew, we will be back!

We came to stay at beautiful serendipity in Fort Bragg to celebrate my dads birthday with my entire family! What a treat ! Everything was super comfortable, and the house was stocked with all sorts of thoughtful amenities!

My group of old divers have now used this house for two years running and find it to be one of the best we have rented in the twenty plus years of doing this annual dive trip. It is well equipped, very spacious and in a great location. A little pre-planning is required since it is a bit of a run to go to town for supplies. The management company did a great job and provided clear instructions and management of the financial transaction.

Other reviews are right, the photos really do not show how fantastic the home is. The spaciousness, comfort, amenities and small details that the management provide really make the vacation rental stand out. On photos, the home appears small but it is very spacious, tons of room, bed availability, bathrooms and the added feature of the cottage is an extra that is so worth it. You can be close and you can have privacy at the same time. The location is so perfect! Awesome views, distance from neighbors, the trail to the beach is wonderful (short) and leads to the perfect location to spend water time. They have obviously put a lot of time into the details of providing all of the necessities. The number of towels, blankets, sheets shows you they don't skimp on anything. The beds are comfortable and the layout so great. The game room in the garage is a HUGE plus for children of all ages to enjoy - video games, card games, traditional games, ping pong. The outdoor shower was fantastic. The hot tub was so accessible and the BBQ grille was put to use. The large table outside and the huge dining room and table inside made shared meals so easy. and the large living room space lent to good family together time. We've done vacation rentals all over the states and this one by far is a gem and I really appreciate that it made our family time so awesome. Rave reviews by our children and visitors. I have no qualms highly recommending this home for your future stays and we already want to schedule to come back.

Don't forget the radiant heated floor for added comfort.
They set you up with information and a packet that lists restaurants and tips.

We have rented this house for a week for three years now and are planning next year! Great time for family connections, close to the beach and just a short drive into town.

Serendipity was nothing short of amazing. The open layout was perfect for our large group and the game room kept the kids entertained the whole trip. The beach is accessible right across the street and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking dinners each night and there was no shortage of dishes for all of us. Can't wait to return!

The Serendipity home was more perfect than we expected. The home was very clean, the furniture was nice, the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you would ever need. The hot tub was relaxing. The game room was awesome. The lawn area out front was a perfect place for the kids to fly their kites. The view of the ocean from the home was magnificent. The staff was extremely helpful and answered every question promptly before our trip. I would and already have recommended this home to many friends. We stayed four nights and would have loved to stay longer.

Having all the kids together for a couple of days was just what I needed. The house was wonderful - fully equiped kitchen, hot water, friendly neighbors. The one exception was the internet - one guest had homework/test to take care of - after phone calls - the internet was reconnected and homework accomplished.

My family and I had a terrific stay at the Serendipity property. From the easy access to the beach, the hot tub, and well equipped kitchen the house had it all! I would highly recommend staying at this clean, well maintained location.

This is such a wonderful house and location. Had family reunion here last year and returned this year. Had a wonderful time. Will be back next year for 51 anniversary. Love this place and will return many times in the future.

We had 4 married couples and 1 single adult for a reunion in October. Our #1 purpose was to be together. Everyone was happy to have their own bedroom unlike other trips. This location is about 4 miles to the closest restaurant, Mexican, which was yummy and about 10 miles to the town of Fort Bragg. The property was in excellent shape. Since everyone had "devices" it seem to be a drain on the internet accessibility so it was very slow and frustrating to people use to getting their daily updates of email, news, etc.
One of the bedrooms had to use the other bedroom to go through to access the rest of the house unless they went outside and around.
The Property was described accurately just a bit confusing when we got there to see how it would all work out. The master had it's own bathroom and one bedroom had it's own. The 3rd bathroom opened to the twin bed room and the laundry room which was the way the other bedroom residence had to enter the bathroom they shared.
We had nothing but good contact with the manager.
Our family enjoyed playing ping pong, watching a movie, walking down to the storming sea, eating at the Purple Rose Mexican restaurant, walking around town, seeing Glass Beach even though it was very windy and just enjoying the time together.
