Health and Safety Information

We will be updating this page to provide the most current information for you regarding your Mendocino vacation. We are committed to being at your service during this uncertain and ever-evolving time.

Update 1/5/2022

May this new year bring you health and happiness. We wish you a very happy new year from all of us at Mendocino Preferred Vacation Rentals!

As the situation with COVID-19 evolves, we are closely monitoring how this will affect the well-being of our guests, owners, and employees.

Masking up in public and indoors is still required for vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers and outdoors if maintaining a six-foot distance from others isn’t possible.

 Cleaning and Sanitation

We have always prided ourselves on our high standards for cleaning and maintaining our homes.

Working with the guidelines from the CDC, our cleaning and sanitizing procedures include wiping down all hard surfaces with quality disinfectants.  Our housekeeping Team cleans and disinfests all hard surfaces in the homes using only approved disinfectant sprays and wipes. We use a professional linen service to launder all sheets, pillowcases, hand towels, washcloths, bath towels, spa towels, and dish towels.  For your arrival, you can be assured these linens in your vacation home have been professionally cleaned.

Staying Healthy During Your Visit with Every Day Preventive Actions

  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Avoid touching your eyes nose and mouth
  • Cover your cough or sneezes with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Maintain a six-foot distance from other people
  • If not fully vaccinated please were a mask
  • When staying at one of our properties, if you begin experiencing any symptoms, we ask that you please let us know and urge you to seek medical assistance at the Mendocino Coast District Hospital.

For the health and safety of our community and guests, if you are feeling sick or are experiencing any symptoms before your arrival, please stay home.
